In honor of Saint Valentine, a little craft:
We used the base of celery, cut clean, and dipped in paint (but ink would’ve been a better idea). I let the kids pick from some pretty paper I had, then just let them go crazy.
There was definitely a lot of paint that didn’t make it to the paper:
We set our work aside to dry.
Then we glued on another layer of paper, added some decorative brads, and stamped our names and a message on the back.
We mailed some to the grandparents, and delivered the others to our neighbors. It was a fairly easy and inexpensive craft, I would definitely recommend using ink instead of paint for the flowers, but other then that, I’d call it a success.
However, my favorite holiday craft will always be baking sugar cookies.
they have a much more satisfying outcome.
