Today is back-to-school day!!
Just look at this big-bad first grader.
Why he combed his hair and everything.
He REEEEEALLLY didn’t want to go in today, but I think once we got the ball rolling he was more and more excited.
It was also the first day for this little-love.
Just half a day of preschool, same as last year. The only difference is she will be going two half days instead of only one.
Oh these kids. What am I going to do this morning without them around?
It has been a truly beautiful summer. I didn’t do nearly as much “school related” stuff as I’d wanted, but we did way more “vacation-adventuring” then I’d planned. So it was a win.
In fact, that’s what I’ll be doing today. Unpacking from our last adventure. We went camping in Durango over the weekend with some New Mexico friends. We only got back yesterday afternoon, soooo yeah. I’ve got some cleaning up to do.
Have I mentioned how much I adore my kids feet? Cause I do… I love em.
Yes, Love’s shoes are on the wrong feet.
(They are always on the wrong feet.)
Plus, her brother convinced her that the cool kids secure their velcro UNDER the tongue. So, that’s a must too.
Awe, I miss em already.
Before I dropped them off we set goals and prayed. Little-Love’s goal was to share toys. Cy’s goal was to make friends. . . with girls.
Oh dear. Guess that explains the combed hair.
At least there’s something he likes about school.
We are back, folks!! Ready to rejoin the routine. 1.2.3. BREAK!!
